Changes to Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGOs)

Overview

This consultation was carried out by the Department of Energy and Climate Change. In July 2016, the department merged with the Department for Business and Innovation and Skills to form the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.

This consultation is looking at the implementation of the Renewable Energy Directive (RED) requirements on Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGOs).

The specific changes included are required and are set out in the Directive. We are seeking views as to whether these changes have wider implications, in particular for Fuel Mix Disclosure requirements.

Why your views matter

We are seeking views on the implementation of various changes that will be made to REGOs. These changes are required under the RED to be implemented by 5 December 2010.
