CCUS: non-pipeline transport and cross-border CO2 networks - call for evidence

Closed 16 Jul 2024

Opened 7 May 2024

Overview

This call for evidence aims to gather information to improve government’s understanding of both non-pipeline transport (NPT) value chains and cross-border CO2 transport and storage networks, the costs associated with them, and the potential barriers to deployment.

The call for evidence will look to gather views and evidence in 3 key areas:

  • NPT value chain data
  • CCUS policy landscape
  • Wider deployment considerations

Why your views matter

The call for evidence on NPT aims to take in views and information on the state-of-play and direction-of-travel for NPT in the UK, and provide the basis for future consultation. The CfE aims to look beyond first movers in the space to reach a wide range of potential stakeholders, ensuring that policy development on NPT is aligned with the government’s vision for a self-sustaining CCUS sector
